I don't live in Ventura but my bro-in-law does and we've played at urban quest right there in oxnard. From the pbreview the field is okay, but personally I don't like how narrow the 2 regular fields are, they seem way too confined. The only good field is the one you have to walk far to. I think they call it Vietnam. Overall it was cool, generally nice people.
I am going this weekend Jan22 to Paintball USA in Simi Valley. My bro and his friends like this one better due to field choice and referees. If you're available come out, I'll be the one in homemade ghillie stuff with a cheapo Tac-5. Oh yea, my bro and 2 of his friends have ions, so you'll be in good company.
The field I'm starting to go to regulary (1x every2months) is in North Glendale off the 210 at Osborne, Conquest Paintball field. This place is run very very well, good refs and awesome fields. It may be a bit a of drive coming out from Ventura but it's a nice change.

Just played at Paintball USA in Simi Valley on Saturday. The weather totally sucked, super windy. They opened at 9 but didn't start a game until almost 9:30. Then they had 1 ref at chrono and only 1 to ref the fields, who was only able to ref the small fields hyper and snake. After 3 games on the same field I went to the desk and they had another ref out in 5 minutes to help ref at the big field, which they call jungle ball but I think is better named Kosovo. I played at snake and it was fun. Then the rest of the day I played at Kosovo, which was a blast. So, overall it is a nice place but I like something with more woods action, which the Conquest in North Glendale has. I'd do Simi again some time in the future.
