I'd like to get a SAW stock for my A-5, but to do that I'd need to get a remote line. A couple people have said they're awesome, and a couple have said they're terrible. A friend said that you lose a lot of pressure by going remote, but to me it seems like it would just act as an expansion chamber.

Any suggestions? (Right now I'm running my gun completely stock except for a double trigger and new barrel)

well i dont know y u would need a remote really...but here are hte pros and cons

pros-displaced the weight
makes the actual gun feel lighter
does act like a very...very...very...very small x chamber.....does almost nothing but a lil....

cons...(big list)

cant switch hands
can be uncomfty
can sang up on anything
line also can stick out
steel lines are hard to been and monevur
can be hard to shot in some type of postions due to the line restricing ur movment.

im usre ther is more...but yea

i wouldn go for the remote

I would go remote.
I just went remote and its great. The stock on the gun will restrict your movement more than the hose will, get a good remote coil and the it will stretch and move better than you can with a tank attached.
if you do go remote I would recommend a remote hose without a bleed off valve, the bleed off is where I've had my trouble, it jams open, jams shut, leaks... the bleed off was a pain, my non bleed off? I love it!!! couldn't be happier!

to handle the list of cons....

first, you can switch hands very easily... if you want I can post pics of me with my tac vest setup. Switching hands on the fly is tough, but if you do your setup correctly you shouldn't need to swap hands in the field.

uncomfortable is BS. on the field I don't notice the line. in the prep zone. I have my gun on a sling...

yes it can snag, but the odds are slim(line sticking out goes under here)

steel lines? don't get a steel line

hard to shoot in some positions?, nope... I've fired laying on my back, side, stomach, standing, crouching. leaning around corners, crawling. remote actually made it easier to fire from more positions

If you want the best performance out of a remote setup get a tactical vest from OpsGear (http://www.Opsgear.com)
the emissary vest is what I have and I love it, holds all my needed equipment.
remote is the way to go.
