XBOX 360

I was flipping through the channels yesterday and I saw this show on the XBOX 360, It looked like a mini Computer hardrive. I also caught the end of it but it said that you could download games. Man I can't wait for it to come out.Also did any of you see this?

I saw the MTV thing. Looks pretty sweet... but expensive. I'll spend that ammount on paintball, but never on videogames. The new Morrowind game looks tight, though.

Nothing special anymore. The Nintendo Revolution can do that, and it was announced a while ago. Not to mention Nintendo easily has the largest game library in the world.

Have they announced how much the systems are gonna be selling for? I'm still playing my PS2 and Xbox, so probably won't be buying either one..i'm just curious.

In my opinion XBox is the biggest waste of $$. It is a giant paperweight that is basically twice the size of PS2 and Gamecube, heavy, pooryly built, breaks easily, and just looks ugly. THe XBox 360 might be a bit better, but its an XBox, so it cant be great. The only thing ever good to happen to the XBox is Halo and Halo 2 (maybe 2 other games). Usualy game systems have an area in games they are better for. This is how it breaks down.

RPG, Shooter, Action - - - - PS2
Family, Multi-Player - - - - - Gamecube
Halo, Halo 2 - - - - - - - - - - XBox

Basically thats what it is. And this is my opinion mayaby not fact, but i have observed many things with systems as they come out, XBox came out and alot of people bought it (like any other new system that comes out) it came out with Halo and sales boosted high, then after a year or so the sales dropped dramatically (and it still cost to damn much even though its been out for a long time, im sorry but for a system out that long, $200 new is to much) then when Halo 2 came out sales went up again, showing that the main reason people wanted XBox was for Halo and Halo 2. This $200 paperweight is not worth getting, and unless they made dramatic changes with electrical and bulk and everything else with the new XBox 360 it will be a peice of . . . well you know were im comeing from.

500 is going to be the base price for the xbox 360 and rise from that with options.

PS3 will come out and Microslap with try and release Halo 3 on the launch date of the PS3. But I like how Sony is allowing you to still play PS1&2 games on the PS3. (Hey I still play PS1 games. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) I am not sure, but I believe the PS3 will be a little cheaper then the XBox 360 (gimmick name. So when you go into the store you dont see Xbox 2 and PS3 cause you would go with the higher number for most new consumers.) Also, the boomerang shape controller of the PS3 is going to be changed they said for the launch date.

So with the Xbox 360 you won't be able to play old Xbox games? I might just have to buy a PS3 if the price is right cuz I still play PS1 games as well. It may be a corny game but I still play Destruction Derby....gotta love a game where the goal is to smash up cars. And Symphony of the Night is hot...i'll have to break that one out and play it again. Alucard has to be the coolest Castelvania character of all time.

Xbox 360 will be able to play Xbox games. Every console is going to be backwards compatible. Except the Nintendo Revolution, you can purchase their older titles to play.

I heard PS3 is better. The concept at least.

PS3 is using a new technology called blu-ray. This means that their disks will be blue on the bottom basically. You will be able to use the older PS1 and PS2 games on it.

Well as far as i know iv seen PS1 and PS2 games with blue bottom so that just sounds old and dumb. But Personaly Xbox 360 is just better because look at the online abilitys Sony with PS2 onine sucked BIG ones compared to xbox live. The PS2 onine was just poorly put togeather. And Who wants to use a Banana for a controller?!?!?! XBOX360 will rock even if its coming out 6months befor the rest of them. THey dont need more time to be good. B)

read the rest of the topic before you post...first off the bottom of PS1 discs are black, the bottom of PS2 discs are gold-ish secondly the control is changing before the release date...and you cant compare and old systems online capabilities to a new systems online capabilites...the fact of the matter is the PS3s GPU is way better than microsoft even concived of happening in the next 5years thus meaning the 360's gfx capabilites are way below PS3 which is what makes game systems sell now a days...personally i could careless for gfx ill take a better story line over gfx any day but most people wouldnt
