Aftermarket barrel manufacturers have specific 'barrel threads' that make a barrel fit into a type of gun. For instance, you are looking for a barrel for your Ion. The Ion accepts any IMPULSE threaded barrels. The link you listed however, advertises a barrel threaded for SPYDER markers.

Be sure that the barrel you're buying fits on your marker =)

if you want, go to actionvillage.com and by a close-out boomstick/ultralite (I got a 12" ironmen bommy for 12.95 w/ automag threads) then buy the impulse barrel back for 50 bucks. B)
